New Guy in Town
In most cases I am so anxious to get started on a project that my fingers just ITCH to start coding. So when I was asked to develop a nameplate concept for a new housing development I felt my fingers itching for old school pencil and paper.
In the begining I was given three different potential names that needed conceptualization, and in a wave of pure unprofessionalism I submitted actual rough sketches for the first round. Guess what… My clients loved it! They were able to see my early thoughts and be a part of the evolution of the design.
The Full Monty
If you are hiring a designer to create a logo or nameplate for your organization you shouldn’t walk away from the deal with just a JPEG file. make sure you are getting a logo package that includes different file types of the finished logo. This should include: JPEG, PNG, and EPS.
My clients also recieve RGB, CMYK, and Process versions of their logo, along with a usage guide that can be distributed to anyone requesting a copy of the logo. Make sure you get what you paid for!
